If all good things must come to an end, then it had to happen sooner or later. After 7 years and nearly 400 tips, DIY projects, yarns, and wordy expressions of opinion, we have decided to end our Monday posts and shut down the website. We will still be sharing tips and great information on our facebook page, and pictures of both the practical and eye candy variety on Instagram. So as we and technology move along, please move with us and like and follow us at either or both of those locations. And as always, feel free to swing by and say hi when you share an anchorage with Eurisko. Thanks for all the support. See you out there.

St. Patrick's Day Island Style

March 20, 2017

We interrupt your regularly scheduled ramble about life on the water to share a bit of island life. The Caribbean's inhabitants are known for their good-natured outlook and love of a good party, and St. Croix is not to be outdone come St. Patty's Day. It's the one day every Crucian thinks he's Irish. The "floats" aren't what you'd expect if you've ever been to Mardi Gras, and the music and dancing get a bit borderline for young viewers at times, but the Jell-O-shots flow freely and the festive mood is contagious.

For those of you who have never experienced a St. Patty's Day on STX, here is a taste. The vibe, the heart-pounding music, and the general good-time feel may not shine through in the videos and pictures, but we feel the love. Today and every day, it's good to call a rock home.

Enjoy.

I love when the little kids get involved.

MONDAY we'll go back to sharing useful information for those afloat.
